GIM physical bullion index
Its already been suggested and i believe it is time to start an reference index
ratio that represents the real current street value for physical bullion. I'll start, Gold physical bullion = spot x 1.19 Silver physical bullion = Spot x 1.67 or GPB = spot x 1.19 SPB = spot x 1.67 These ratios represent current sell prices for one ounce coins in van B.C. Some how post it as a running Index, daily polls, it may catch on. Thoughts? |
Re: GIM physical bullion index
I've posted this elsewhere but it's seems appropriate here as well.
100 oz bars are going for between 1550 - 1650 in the auctions that closed this morning on ebay. However a 1 oz silver eagle just sold for $31.79 . . . the highest I've seen yet (and it's a regular silver eagle . . . nothing special about it): http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=230299798719 |

Spot x 2 on silver eagles. Hommel had bids for over 1700 for 100 oz bars yesterday. I can't find the final results of his auction though.

Quote:
After the auction, I plan to use the proceeds to buy more silver, such as 1000 oz. COMEX bars, to make a profit." - J. Hommel It seems he knew silver was going to tank and wanted to push if off on the rest of us while the price was still up and "hard to get". Taking COMEX bars delivery takes months and isn't he one of those who says all the time COMEX is about ready to defult? That doesn't smell right to me. First the price of silver tanked then we fall for the physical silver shortage and pay even more than what it was worth. The silver shortage was a great way for the dealers or the heavy holders to unload the silver that they paid too much for on us at top dollar. But we never learn, tell us a conspircy story or too and we will buy it ever time. |
